The Story
Nadia and Bima met at a plant nursery, so a garden was never up for debate. They asked for a wedding that felt like a long lunch among friends, only prettier.
We kept the footprint low and the planting generous, letting the garden itself frame the aisle and the tables.
Planning the Day
Nadia and Bima came to us with a mood board made almost entirely of herbs, linen, and long tables. We visited Taman Kelapa three times across different seasons to understand where the light fell at lunch and which corners stayed cool.
The menu was built with a Sundanese chef who cooks for the family on special occasions. We tested it twice with the couple, adjusting spice levels and adding a children's table so younger cousins had something familiar to eat.
On the Day
Guests arrived at eleven to iced lemongrass tea and a short walk through the garden to the ceremony lawn. The vows were brief and personal, read beneath an arch of eucalyptus that the couple's friends had helped tie the night before.
Lunch ran long, exactly as planned. Platters moved down the tables family style, speeches were kept to three, and by late afternoon the dance floor on the grass had filled with friends in bare feet.
