The Story
The cool morning air shaped the whole day. We planned warm drinks, soft wraps for guests, and a menu built around comfort rather than show.
Planning the Day
Rancabali sits high in the tea hills, and mornings there are cold and misty. Instead of fighting the weather, Maharani and Dika leaned into it, asking for a cosy wedding with warm food, soft knits, and a slow pace.
We planned the day around the mist lifting. The ceremony was set for nine, giving the sun time to break through, and the menu was built around comforting dishes from West Java served hot.
On the Day
Guests arrived to wool wraps on every chair and a station serving bandrek and hot chocolate. As the vows began, the mist cleared across the tea rows, which made more than a few people cry.
Lunch was served under a clear marquee with views across the plantation, and the couple handed out small jars of local tea as souvenirs. By early afternoon everyone was out walking between the tea bushes.
