The Story
Sinta and Dimas love old films, and asked for a ballroom that felt like one. We took the volume of the room and warmed it with hundreds of candles at different heights.
The evening began with a short ceremony, followed by a seated dinner and a dance floor that stayed full until midnight.
Planning the Day
The Aurelia ballroom is grand but cool in tone, so the design work started with light rather than flowers. We mocked up a corner of the room with three candle heights and two ceiling drape options before the couple signed off on a direction.
Seating three hundred and twenty guests without losing intimacy took several floor plans. We settled on round tables in a loose crescent around the stage, which kept every guest within easy sight of the couple and the band.
On the Day
Doors opened at six to a room glowing amber, with the jazz trio playing standards from the films Sinta and Dimas love. The ceremony lasted twenty minutes and ended with the whole room standing as the lights rose slowly over the dance floor.
Dinner moved through four courses with clockwork service, then the tables cleared for dancing. The late-night dessert station opened at ten and was empty by eleven, which we took as a good sign.
